Aims, Ethos and Values

The Aims and Ethos of the School

Boddington Church of England School is a vibrant village school that is at the heart of the local community. The school provides challenging and enjoyable high quality opportunities to develop children’s character in such a way that they are ready for life beyond primary school, both academically and socially and spiritually. We love to celebrate and promote the achievement of each individual child to enable them to reach  their full potential.

We will develop and encourage social, cultural and recreational skills and interests enabling each  individual to play their full part in a modern society as responsible citizens.

We will do all of this by providing a safe, secure and caring environment characterised by high quality teaching and learning utilising the latest technology.

The Values of the School

At Boddington Primary Academy, we believe that our Christian values are at the heart of everything that we do both during school hours and outside of school. Our children are encouraged to show school values in all they do. As well as keeping all of our values present and visible in the school environment, we have a core value each half term that we focus upon and base our collective worship around, linking bible stories and everyday examples of what values look like in action.

The core values that we have are separated into 2 years.

Our core values 2020-2021

  • Trust -
  • Compassion
  • Courage
  • Forgiveness
  • Friendship
  • Respect

Our core values 2021-2020

  • Thankfulness
  • Generosity
  • Perseverance
  • Justice
  • Service
  • Truthfulness

Our School Mission Statement

Culworth and Boddington Primary Academies – Respect, Believe, Succeed

In our school, we will encourage children to be brave, take risks and have confidence in themselves. We want them to develop into independent people, prepared for whatever their future holds, who have an ingrained love for learning; learning that is an experience, a journey of exploration. We will share in and celebrate successes, both in our vibrant school environment and through collective worship. At the root of all that we do are the Christian values that the school holds dear. Our whole school community will work together to help our children realise their full potential.
