Our School Community and values in action
Last term our value was 'Perseverance', "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me" Philippians 4.13
In Boddington C of E Primary Academy, we encourage our children to take part in different events which raise awareness of issues in our community, both locally and nationally. These activities actively promote our school values in action and are at the heart of our beliefs. Values such as: Generositiy, Thankfulness, Service, Respect and Compassion are but of few which are demonstrated by taking part in these activities.
Children In Need
The children (and staff) thoroughly enjoyed our Children In Need Sports and Stripe event. The whole school took part in the Joe Wicks Move It Morning. We raised £93.64 for Children In Need
Royal British Legion Christmas Card Campaign
We are pleased to announce that the Christmas Card competition, with the theme, “Peace, and how our armed forces contribute” for the British Legion, was won by children in our school. Congratulations Katherine, Charlie and Elliott! The winners were presented with their certificates of achievement and Hobby Craft vouchers. “Thank you very much for taking part in the Subject event, and including us in yesterday's assembly. We enjoyed being there; as an old RAF man, our President John commented that he was impressed with your youngster's discipline when filing-in, sitting down and keeping quiet. I guess you see that every day, so don't notice it but it’s not something we oldies experience much these days. We both were also pleased to see the relaxed interaction between the children, staff, and us. It must be very rewarding to be part of their growing-up. Your positive participation in the Poppy Appeal was a lovely surprise too, and thanks again to you all for your generous support. We hope to see you all again soon.
Merry Christmas and a productive 2020 to you all.
Terry & all at Byfield & District RBL.”
Christmas Fair
Thank you to all of those who helped and attended the Boddington Christmas Fair. We raised over £1,200 to contribute toward enriching our children’s experiences and support the school.
We will be holding a PTA meet Thursday 16th January 6:30pm at the school. We will be sharing our plans and ideas, with snacks and hot drinks, so please do join us. You can also visit our Facebook for updates. https://www.facebook.com/pg/BoddingtonPTA/posts/
