Our school

Picture

Boddington Primary Academy is very much a family school where we aim to cater for the needs of each child in a secure, stimulating environment.  Staff at the school care about children’s progress and are firmly committed to achieving the highest possible standards.  The small class sizes we offer ensure all children benefit from a high teacher to pupil ratio as they progress through the school and this is reflected in the progress that they make.

We have a creative cross curricular topic based approach to teaching and learning and this has proved to be very successful and engaging way for our children to learn. Children love to discover what their topic is for each term and as the term goes by, we celebrate their work in the environment to show what they have been working on and to ensure that they have a feeling of pride in the work that they do.

We also offer Forest Schools programmes to our children - making use of the local beauty spots in the village. We feel that it is so important for children to engage with their local surroundings and there is no better way than through Forest School learning (This approach is explained further on its own individual page of this site).

We are proud of our school because it is such an exciting place to learn.

Ofsted commented 'Pupils' behaviour is good; they are considerate of one another so that they are happy and feel very safe.  They have positive attitudes to learning and thrive personally and academically.'

And a parent said 'They are very secure and happy at school and it is due wholly to the excellent pastoral care given by the teaching staff and we are thrilled by their learning educationally and development socially and as little girls growing up we feel the school supports our guidance and role as parents.'
