Remote Education during COVID-19, Academic Year 2021-22
This current year, if your child needs to self isolate and is not physically unwell, schools must provide them access to remote education as soon as practicable. At Boddington, once you have informed us that your child needs to self-isolate, due to a positive covid result, we will write to you asking that once they are physically recovered but still needing to self-isolate, to contact us and we can provide prompt access to remote education until they are able to return to school.
The learning will be emailed to you in the form of a pack which will include the activities and weblinks for the current school week. We have tried to ensure the remote education corresponds to the learning in the classroom as much as possible. We understand that every family's situation may be very different and whilst we must provide this learning, please do what you are able to cope with. Your child's class teacher will be on hand to support you either by telephone or email so please contact your class teacher as soon as you are able to, if you or your child have difficulties accessing this.
We would advise providing a routine to the day, similar to school, as most children benefit from a structured approach.
An hour per activity is ample! If your child becomes distracted or disengaged, then please move on to a different activity. Children often benefit from variety of approaches and regular breaks, especially in the Early Years setting.
Should you require any specific advice or guidance please do not hesitate to contact us on boddingtonadmin@cb-cepa.org or via our class email addresses. Please feel free to upload your home learning triumphs to our Facebook feed or email to your class teacher directly.

Faith at home
Please see information below and message from the Diocesan Director of Education regarding activities which supports to understanding of different values within the new initiative 'Faith at home.'
"I hope you enjoyed collective worship with the Archbishop of Canterbury this morning. If you missed it, you can watch the Oak National Academy assembly which was streamed live across the nation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgdhOstV6iI.
Today marks the beginning of a new initiative by the Church of England called Faith at Home. Faith at Home is a call to help children and young people discover God’s presence in the place they spend most of their time. It is a call to choose a lifelong exploration of a growing faith, nurtured in the normal everyday elements of life together. Learning is, of course, vital to living life in all its fullness, as we grow in wisdom, choose to hope, see the image of God in every person we encounter and focus on building relationships, so that all may flourish.
For the summer term content, Faith at Home will be releasing content each week for primary and secondary schools following these themes, in partnership with Oak National Academy:
ther key theme resources, including for example those focused on supporting children and young people in grief and bereavement, will also be shared through Faith at Home."
