Remote Learning and Home Support

Home Support during COVID-19

To help support your time at home we have created a variety of resources and links specific to the each class.  We have tried to ensure these will support their ongoing education, but also appreciate that home schooling differs from the school environment.

We would advise providing a structure to the day, as we do at school, as most children benefit from a structured approach.
An hour per activity is ample! If your child becomes distracted or disengaged, then please move on to a different activity.  Children often benefit from variety of approaches, especially in the Early Years setting.

This is a new experience for us all and a steep learning curve.  Please only do what you can, there is no pressure to complete all of the learning ideas.  Please add your own activities as you see fit, should you require any specific advice or guidance please do not hesitate to contact us on boddingtonadmin@cb-cepa.org  or via the class email addresses.  Please feel free to upload your home learning triumphs to ur Facebook feed or email to us directly for us to share!

Faith at home

Please see information below and message from the Diocesan Director of Education regarding activities which supports to understanding of different values within the new initiative 'Faith at home.'

"I hope you enjoyed collective worship with the Archbishop of Canterbury this morning.  If you missed it, you can watch the Oak National Academy assembly which was streamed live across the nation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgdhOstV6iI.

Today marks the beginning of a new initiative by the Church of England called Faith at Home.  Faith at Home is a call to help children and young people discover God’s presence in the place they spend most of their time.  It is a call to choose a lifelong exploration of a growing faith, nurtured in the normal everyday elements of life together.  Learning is, of course, vital to living life in all its fullness, as we grow in wisdom, choose to hope, see the image of God in every person we encounter and focus on building relationships, so that all may flourish.

For the summer term content, Faith at Home will be releasing content each week for primary and secondary schools following these themes, in partnership with Oak National Academy:

ther key theme resources, including for example those focused on supporting children and young people in grief and bereavement, will also be shared through Faith at Home."
