Consultation: Proposed admissions policy for 2028/29
We are currently consulting on EMAT's proposed admissions policy for the 2028-29 academic year.
The consultation period will run from Monday 9th November 2026 until Tuesday 31st December 2026, during which time parents, carers and other stakeholders are invited to express their views and any concerns about the admissions arrangements at any academy within the trust.
In accordance with the DfE’s 2021 statutory ‘School Admissions Code’ guidance, a school must consult on its admission arrangements when changes are proposed, and at least once every seven years.
The changes that are being proposed requiring consultation are as follows:
- Inclusion of Boddington, Chacombe, Culworth, Naseby and Wilbarston C of E Academies into the EMAT Admissions Policy.
- Add priority to children of EMAT staff into the oversubscription criteria for all newly included schools.
- Add priority to children of worshipping members of any church to Naseby and Wilbarston C of E Academies.

At the end of the consultation period, the trust board will meet to consider responses and approve a final policy.
