Vision & Values
The Aims and Ethos of the School
Boddington Church of England School is a vibrant village school that is at the heart of the local community. The school provides challenging and enjoyable high quality opportunities to develop children’s character in such a way that they are ready for life beyond primary school, both academically and socially and spiritually. We love to celebrate and promote the achievement of each individual child to enable them to reach their full potential.
We will develop and encourage social, cultural and recreational skills and interests enabling each individual to play their full part in a modern society as responsible citizens.
We will do all of this by providing a safe, secure and caring environment characterised by high quality teaching and learning utilising the latest technology.
The Values of the School
At Boddington Primary Academy, we believe that our Christian values are at the heart of everything that we do both during school hours and outside of school. Our children are encouraged to show school values in all they do. As well as keeping all of our values present and visible in the school environment, we have a core value each half term that we focus upon and base our collective worship around, linking bible stories and everyday examples of what values look like in action.
The core values that we have are separated into 2 years.

Our School Mission Statement
Culworth and Boddington Primary Academies
Respect, Believe, Succeed
In our school, we will encourage children to be brave, take risks and have confidence in themselves. We want them to develop into independent people, prepared for whatever their future holds, who have an ingrained love for learning; learning that is an experience, a journey of exploration. We will share in and celebrate successes, both in our vibrant school environment and through collective worship. At the root of all that we do are the Christian values that the school holds dear. Our whole school community will work together to help our children realise their full potential.
"It is vital that when educating our children’s brains we do not neglect to educate their hearts by nurturing their compassionate nature."
We believe that children should love learning so our approach here at Boddington engages and inspires childrens' imaginations.
We believe that children learn best when they are fully immersed in s topic. When learning is put into context and given a real life feeling. We use termly whole school topics and interweave the national curriculum requirements through these exciting topics to deliver an education everybody in the school enjoys.
In the last few years our topics have included:
Reach for the stars – Science Focus
Africa is not a country – Geography Focus
Peasant Are Revolting - Historical Focus
Please have a look at our class pages to see some pictures of the children immersed in their topics and their learning environment.
We follow the national curriculum at Boddington and ensure that across all areas, we have a coverage of learning that enables our children to achieve the objectives set out by the curriculum for their relevant age group.
As a village school we are also able to offer small class sizes so children benefit from a high teacher to pupil ratio.
We believe all children would benefit from our approach and encourage you to visit our school to see for yourself.
